Young Researcher, Assistant
Institute for Historical Studies of the Science and Research Centre Koper
I am a cultural studies scholar and a young researcher working in the ERC-funded Open Borders project. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in History at the University of Ljubljana. My research focuses on cross-border governance and environmental protection along Slovenian border rivers after World War II. My broader academic interests include everyday culture, border studies, the cultural history of hygiene, funeral and mourning culture, and oral history.
Prior to joining this project, I completed a two-year curatorial training program at the Landesmuseum Württemberg in Stuttgart, focusing on popular and everyday culture. Afterwards, I directed the City Museum of Ditzingen, where I curated and implemented exhibitions on urban history and everyday life.
