On 3 November 2026, marking the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, the Liszt Institute in Ljubljana hosted a roundtable, featuring project team member Mateja Režek. Together with Attila Kovács and László Göncz, she discussed the international dimensions of the Hungarian uprising and its echoes in Slovenia. The discussion paid particular attention to the Hungarian refugees who sought shelter in Yugoslavia and to the (im)permeability of the Iron Curtain during the Cold War.
