Borut Klabjan and Pamela Balinger Discuss the Significance of Borders for the Nova Gorica Region

Nova Gorica, Slovenia — Borut Klabjan and Pamela Ballinger spoke to Primorska Kronika about the importance of borders for the Nova Gorica area, highlighting discussions held during a two-day conference at Xcenter. The event featured a roundtable and several panels focused on the historical, cultural, and political dimensions of borders in the region.

Klabjan and Belinger emphasized how the border has shaped local identity and cross-border cooperation, especially in the context of European integration. They invited the public to visit the accompanying exhibition titled “Never Mind the Borders”, currently on display in the underpass of the Nova Gorica Railway Station. The exhibition explores the evolving meaning of borders and will remain open to visitors until the end of the year.
